In the summer of 2003, I was involved in the removal and transport of a series of artifacts from a privately owned museum in downtown Atlanta, GA. The largest of these artifacts was a 1906 4.7 Inch field artillery piece. This particular piece had been on display outside of this museum since 1946, where trees had been allowed to grow around it, meaning the only method of removal was over an 18" brick foundation and into a parking lot next door.
